What will you be doing as a waitstaff member?
As a hospitality/service staff member / waiter / host(ess), you are responsible for:
- Receiving and greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Taking orders and correctly passing them on to the kitchen and bar
- Serving food and drinks according to high service standards
- Advising on menus, drinks, and specials (upselling)
- Checking out guests (cash handling and POS systems)
- Ensure a neat and well-kept appearance of tables and workstations
- Working according to hygiene and food safety guidelines (HACCP)
- Replenishing stock and assisting with light kitchen tasks
- Collaborating with colleagues for a smooth and efficient service
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere and excellent customer experience
What do we ask?
For this hospitality vacancy in Kortgene, we are looking for someone who:
- has an interest in the hospitality, hotel, or food service industry
- Experience as a waitstaff member, host/hostess, or in the hospitality industry (preferred)
- Familiar with food safety, hygiene, and food handling
- Experience with POS systems (POS such as Aloha, Micros or OpenTable is a plus)
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English (German is a plus)
- Has basic arithmetic skills (for cashier duties)
- Has a strong customer-oriented and service-oriented attitude
- Good at planning and keeping an overview during busy times
- Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, and peak hours)
